Denbury Feoffees

Chairman: To be announced

Denbury Feoffees are a charity who have been supporting organisations and individuals within the village for four and a half centuries.  Applications for grants should be made to the Denbury Feoffees on an application form available from the Chairman.  Whilst the Feoffees distribute all their income, this is limited and they look more kindly on projects which do not have grants available.  They are not allowed to fund projects which could be funded by local authorities.

Snowy Owl: Maggie Lambourn
Sooty Owl: Emma Twamley
Barny Owl: Erica Groombridge
Tawny Owl: Fran

Our Brownie pack meets each week at Denbury Primary School on a Wednesday from 6pm-7.30pm.  We have girls from all over the area including Ogwell, Denbury, Abbotskerswell, Newton Abbot and Highweek and usually have around 24 Brownies ranging in age from 7 to 10+.  They are grouped in "sixes" and are a very friendly and extremely busy pack!

Each term a wide range of varied activities are planned both on site and out and about.  We organise such things as Canoeing, Theatre trips, Beach parties, Countryside walks, Craft Activities, Cooking, Fundraising events, Sports events and make sure we have lots of fun!  We go away on a pack holiday once a year, usually to Heatree Activity Centre on Dartmoor where the girls can take part in challenges such as climbing, abseiling, raft building, archery and lots more.

We also take part whenever possible in community events such as the Denbury May Fayre, so if you know of an event you would like us to take part in do contact us with as much notice as possible!

The pack is run by 3 leaders, Maggie Lambourn (Snowy Owl) Emma Twamley (Sooty Owl) and Erica Groombridge (Barny Owl) with another helper Fran (Tawny Owl) assisting.

For more information or to put your daughter on the waiting list please call either Snowy Owl on 01803 812717 email: hugmagella "at" btinternet.com  or  Sooty Owl on 01803 812478 email: jimmytamley "at" tiscali.co.uk .
